I am planning on attending Yorkville University in Toronto this summer to work on getting a bachelor’s degree in Interior Design. I live in the US and can take all the classes online. I am unable to apply for federal financial aid, and while trying to apply to private student loans I found that my school is not listed anywhere.. am I out of luck? Do I have any other options?
That is a very interesting question.
I suspect the location you reside isn’t the big issue with the lenders… it is the location of the school.
Have you contacted the school’s office of financial aid? Given that the classes are online, you probably aren’t the first US resident to run into this issue.
