This is my first post… I am preparing my Chapter 7 Bankruptcy as I have medical and other debts that I need to have discharged and allow me to gain “a fresh start”. At this point I will not go into the full details of my situation, perhaps if you are interested in my horror story you can ask me.
RIGHT NOW, I am here to ask if anyone can tell me when is the time to file the Adversary Proceeding? Or does it depend on the District that the US Bankruptcy Court is in?
In my research I have not be able to find a clear answer. What I do know is that I have to do a lot of research, study and preparation to be ready to go into court for the Adversary Proceeding.
I have filed Chapter 7 twice before (yes I am old), and I did it both times without an attorney. I CANNOT afford an attorney this time either. So do not send me queries trying to get me to buy your services! I will not answer you or if I do you will not like my curt response. Thank you anyways. If you do pro-bono work in the ED of Virginia, then contact me.

You question calls for specific legal advice and ethically, I’m not comfortable addressing the issue for a number of different reasons. The purpose of this site is to offer ideas and suggestions for people regarding their student loans, but individualized legal advice simply is not possible.
I’d suggest reaching out to your local bar association. Many often have pro-bono clinics where you can call or visit and ask specific questions of local attorneys.
