My Rich Uncle

I was able to obtain discharge of a MyRichUncle private student loan in 2016 due to permanent disability and hiring an attorney. We were able to identify and serve the lender, and eventually achieve total discharge. I have another one, however, that I thought was discharged at the same, but has recently resurfaced. I have discovered that my attorney was never able to identify the second MyRichUncle lender and gave up without my knowledge.

Do you happen to know who any of these private student loans were sold off to? Is there a statute of limitations to sue them in an adversarial proceeding?

Many of the My Rich Uncle private loans were sold to other lenders and debt collectors.

As far as that statute of limitations, the rules vary from state to state.

I’d suggest you get into contact with your old attorney or a new one to discuss this new loan that has resurfaced.

Best of luck,
